A custom panel blind system was designed, manufactured, and installed for the University of Central Lancashire to provide effective sun control while maintaining external views. The project was completed within four weeks, delivering a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution tailored to the university’s needs.
The project began with a consultation to understand the university’s requirements. The goal was to reduce glare and heat from sunlight while allowing adjustable visibility to maintain an open and airy feel. A high-quality, light-filtering fabric was selected to balance sun protection with outside visibility. The panel blinds were designed for smooth operation, allowing users to easily adjust the amount of light entering the space.
All blinds and track systems were manufactured in-house to ensure precision and durability. The panels were custom-made to fit large windows, using materials that provided UV protection while complementing the modern university environment. Installation was carried out by an experienced in-house team. The work was carefully scheduled to reduce disruption to university activities.
